Thomas's First Kite

Thomas flew his first kite with Grandpa Barney this week.
Grandpa accidentally broke the kite so he went out and bought
Thomas 3 more.  Spoiled?  No way!

Can't tell you how blessed we are to have such amazing families on both sides.  If only ALL of our family could live in the same state.  :-)  I wouldn't even care where it was.  Ok, maybe not Alaska!  Ha!

Baby Dedication

This Mother's Day, Randy and I made a commitment between us, God and the church to raise our boys to know, love and serve God.  We were also so blessed to have the family at our church to share this special moment with us.  Afterwards we all went out to dinner to celebrate the dedication as well as Mother's Day.

Doesn't get any better....

We finally let Thomas hold Nathan the other day.  We had to wait because Thomas gets a little excited and can be rough.  He absolutely loved holding him and now when I ask Thomas if he wants to hold Nathan he jumps on the couch right away.  He kisses his forehead and snuggles him.  It honestly makes my heart melt.  So happy that we have two children so that we can all experience special moments like these.

Almost 2

Watching the 'turtle' movie (which he has watched more times that we can count) when our Internet was down.
Can you believe that this guy is 2 next month?  Crazy how time flies!

Growing fast!

Nathan had his 2 month doctor appointment yesterday.  He weighs 13 lbs 1 oz (75-80% with 50% as average) and is 24 7/8" long (99%).  The doctor said he just may end up taller than Thomas.  Almost 25" long already explains why he doesn't fit in his 3 month pajamas anymore.  He did have to have 2 shots also.  Gosh I hate that part.  So hard to hear your children cry like that.  :-(  He does have a little reflux, but other than that he is big and healthy.  Thank you God for healthy children.  We are blessed indeed.

Building Train Tracks

Thomas built this track ALL BY HIMSELF!  I think I was making dinner and I came out to the longest and most complex track that any of us have built.  He learns quickly, trust me we have to be careful with what we do and say. Ha ha

Easter 2014

Spent Easter afternoon at Grandpa Barney and Grammie Deb's this year.  Deb set up an Easter egg hunt for Thomas and he loved it!  He would see the eggs and shout out their color before he picked it up and then look for another one.  Apparently we need to buy orange eggs for next year though because he kept looking for an orange one (the one color Deb didn't have :-)).  He sure had a blast!
The best picture we could get of all of us.  Ha Ha
Right after this was taken, Thomas smacked Nathan twice in the face.
Brotherly love at it's finest.  LOL

Stretch!

We love this sweet baby

Circus, Circus!

Randy and I had a date with Thomas last weekend at the circus.  We wanted to spend some one on one time with our little man and hoped that he would enjoy the circus.  Well, he definitely enjoyed it.  I don't even think he blinked.  Ha Ha
There were 8 motorcycles in this globe at one time.
Randy and I had sweaty palms during this act for sure.
These ladies are hanging from their hair.  No joke!  Ouch!

Aunt Cynthia

Had a wonderful visit with Aunt Cynthia.  She was a HUGE help playing with the boys, cleaning and she is an awesome cook!  We tried to hire her as a nanny, but no go.  :-(  She spent a lot of time with Thomas playing trains, turtles and books.  They also spent time outside walking, playing with chalk, swinging on the swings and of course, picking flowers (a must when Thomas is outside).  She even got to spend some time with our newest addition.  It was so nice for the boys to be able to really bond with their aunt.  I think she enjoyed it too.  :-)

Sometimes......

It's necessary.  LOL

Smile!

Our new 'smile for the camera' face :-)

Our New Love

Blessed with help!

We couldn't be any more grateful for all of the help that we have gotten during this special time in our lives.  Unfortunately I have not been able to pick Thomas up for the first six weeks after my surgery so we have needed a lot of help.  Luckily Randy and I are incredibly blessed with an amazing family on both sides.  My dad was here for three weeks (thank God he is retired!), my sister Jaclyn for the week of the birth (thank God for her spring break landing on the same week), my step mom Odie here for a week (also retired) and my best friend Eve for about four days (unfortunately no picture :-( Boo!).  Grammie Deb and Bela Sonia also came over for a few days and Grandpa Barney has also stopped by a bunch.
