11 Hours!

This is Thomas watching a cartoon.  Don't judge....LOL.  When you
need a few minutes to eat/go to the bathroom/etc, it works!  :-)
Randy and I were given this book by Uncle Mike and Aunt Ashley (recommended by his buddy Hayden) for Thomas.  It worked for Hayden and Melissa and it just may work for us.  We had our first night last night where Thomas slept for over 11 hours!  It was so nice to have him down by 8:20pm and be able to do stuff around the house, catch up on emails, read, and just have some 'me' time.  Thanks Uncle Mike and Aunt Ashley!

Day at the Beach

We made it to the beach today with 4 of my girlfriends and each
of their boys.  Yes, there are 5 of us and we all have 1 boy.
We had a great time visiting, taking pictures and
talking about babies.  LOL  :-)

We didn't get in the water but I did make sure to let him run his toes through the sand.

How cute is he?  His auntie/2nd cousin Heidi got him this outfit.
We had to make sure to wear it before he grows out of it and before
the summer is over.  Thanks Cuz!

Dinosaurs and Alligators, Oh My!

This is how Thomas spent most of the time in the museum.
I am sure once he gets older, he will run around with crazy
excitement like his buddy Oliver.

This exhibit shows them eating the other dinosaur. We thought that
was a little graphic for young kids, but I guess that is natural selection
at its finest.

This is Oliver, my friends 3 year old boy. He is so cute and SMART!
He would name all of the dinosaurs and so much more. I am not
joking, he knew them all no matter how long the name might be.

One of the rare moments when Thomas was awake (in the dark room). LOL
He must have wanted to see the jellyfish.
Thomas's very first museum visit was to a living museum that had a really cool robotic dinosaur exhibit.  We went with my friend and her 3 year old boy.  I put him in my bjorn and he slept most of the time.  We did walk through the entire museum but at a more rapid pace.  This was not hard though because Oliver was SO excited to show us all of the animals.  Plus Thomas was getting hungry so he wanted to hurry too.  I had a great time as well visiting with my friend that was my roommate when I first moved to VA 8 years ago.  Wow time flies!  We were both single when I moved here and now we are married with children.  :-)

Sunday's Best

Could Randy and I be any happier?
So we made it to church this Sunday for the second week.  The first week we were about 5 minutes late, Thomas slept for about 20 minutes and was quiet the rest of the time.  This week we were only 1 minute late, but Thomas woke up about 15 minutes into service and was hungry.  Unfortunately I did not pack my normal emergency bottle for when I am in situations that don't allow me to breastfeed.  We ended up leaving the service early.  Hey, baby steps right?

We think the picture in the upper right corner is hilarious.  Randy didn't button it all the way up so Thomas could look 'cool' showing off his chest.  :-)  Of course, we think he always looks cool though.

2 Month Check Up

Thomas has discovered his fists and loves to keep them in what we call
the 'Thomas pose' (bottom right).  We swear he looks like a fighter
posing at his weigh in.  LOL  In these pictures he is hitting the red monkey.
We are trying to teach him the fist bump and not sure if he does it by accident,
but he does fist bump with us.  :-)
Thomas had his 2 month check up yesterday and the doctor said he is a healthy and handsome little baby.  He got 3 shots in his little legs and 1 orally.  I would like to say that he didn't cry, but he did.  It was so sad to see him cry that hard and yes, I teared up and almost cried.  The nurse kept saying that we did a good job so I am guessing that I am not the only mom that had a hard time with the first shots.  :-)  He weighed in at 13 lbs and 10 oz, which is in the 90% (50% as average) and is 25" long, which is in the 97%.  The doctor says that his growth curve is not a curve.  LOL  He is our long, lean, eating machine.

8 Weeks

Our little sleeping angel.  How can you not wake him up with kisses?

This is what mommy and daddy get to wake up to every day.  Pretty cute, huh?
He is such a happy baby!

His auntie Heidi made these pants for him.
He is doing 'tummy time' and getting much stronger.
Soon we will be chasing him around!

8 Weeks Tomorrow!

Precious is laying on Thomas's legs.  Too cute!

I know I take a lot of pictures of him in the bed, but when he wakes up in the
morning he is full of smiles and giggles!

and funny faces

What can I say?  He is the cutest!

If he keeps growing in length, he won't fit on his changing
pad anymore.  Ha Ha

Things have been going great!  We weighed Thomas earlier this week and he is 13 lbs!  He has officially grown out of all his newborn clothes and into his 0-3 months and sometimes even 3-6 months clothes.  He is the happiest baby (when his tummy isn't bothering him and he isn't tired :-(), loves when we talk to him and likes to be carried in the baby bjorn.  He is sleeping 6 - 8 hours straight through the night for now and he is holding his neck up mostly on his own now.  Mommy and Thomas have gone to the mall, grocery store and pharmacy this week.  We have even vacuumed the house while in the bjorn.  All big steps for us.  :-)  Next week we are going to the museum to see the dinosaur exhibit with my friend and her one year old boy.  It will be Thomas's first play date!  Next Friday he gets his 2 month shots.  Wow!  He is growing so fast.

Working From Home

Today Randy is working from home so I decided to make us some
breakfast sandwiches and some cafe con leches. While I was
cooking, Thomas started fussing so Randy (wanting his
sandwich and coffee) decided to help me out.  :-)

Big hat to fill

Got this hat from Aunt Kim.  It is a little big right now, but not for long.  :-)

6 Weeks

Precious was laying down next to Thomas right before I took this picture.  I am telling you,
she is always near Thomas.  It is very cute.  I can just picture them playing together
once Thomas gets older.

Thomas is now smiling at us.  He loves when we talk to him and touch his nose.
The only thing is, he also smiles when he poops so you don't know if he is smiling at you
or pooping.  Ha Ha

This boy has officially stolen my heart!

Ok, Randy is going to kill me for posting this, but how could I not?  So precious!
