Still going

Thomas is still our little reader.  Currently this is his favorite book and he loves to count the items on these pages.

Summer trip to PA

I think this is my favorite picture from the trip.  Kai and Thomas were so cute together holding hands, walking, playing, feeding the fish and just being cousins.  It was so sweet!
First Popsicle
At the end of June we were fortunate enough to go visit Chad, Marcy, Heidi, Aunt Marilyn and all the cousins and family in Pennsylvania.  We had so much fun visiting with family we hadn't seen in a year, playing in the lake, making smores, eating, playing and just having a great time.  So glad that we were able to go up while Aunt Marilyn and Peter were in the states and Heidi and the boys were all here from Hawaii!

Thomas's 2nd Birthday!

Daddy and Nathan putting together Thomas's red table on his birthday eve
Last weekend was not only Father's Day, but Thomas's 2nd birthday!  We went over to his Grandpa Barney's and Grammie Deb's house for the celebrations.
Eating his red, turtle shaped pancakes at his brand new red table.
Red is currently Thomas's favorite color.
New pool that Grandpa Barney bought for the house
We had a wonderful day playing in the pool outside, eating lots of yummy food, visiting with family, playing with toys, opening presents and enjoying his beach themed cake with turtles on it.
A total Herzog move.  Reminds me of our Christmass in AZ.
We did not tell him to do this, it was hilarious!
And where is my next gift?
Gift from Uncle Tom
Gift from Auntie Eve
Gifts from Auntie Jaclyn and Nana Odie
Grandpa Barney helping Thomas unwrap his gifts
Made with love by the creative and amazing Auntie Ashley
We can't believe that this incredible little boy is 2 already.  He is such a huge blessing to us, our family and anyone he meets.  Everyday is a new adventure full of laughs, new surprises, lots of talking, singing, playing with trains and turtles, picking flowers, kisses and tons of fun.  We just had no idea how much we could love this guy.  Here's looking forward to many more birthdays to come.  We love you Thomas!  Happy 2nd Birthday!

3 Months

Can you believe this cutie is already 3 months old?  He is doing so great!  He is growing fast, already almost 15 lbs and in 6 months onesies and pjs because he is so long.  He does have a little reflux, but the medicine he takes is helping.  We think he may be teething since he is drooling lots and chewing on his fists.  He loves to be held standing up and walking around, not sitting.  Ha Ha  He is smiling a lot and even laughs.  It sure does make the 3am feedings worth it.

Silly boy

Thomas grabs everything within reaching distance of his crib now.  One afternoon during nap, I looked in the monitor and this what I saw.  I had to go in and take a picture.  I think before I went into the room he was sleeping like this.  Too funny!

Look who has turtle

New friends

Went to the museum with a new friend named Emerson. He is 2 1/2 and has an 8 week old sister. Mommies have a lot in common and had fun chasing us around, gabbing and pushing strollers

Fun at the Zoo

We finally made it to the zoo with Thomas and Nathan!  We did make it last summer, but had to leave after seeing the first animal due to mommy getting a sudden vertigo spell (NOT FUN).  Thomas was so fun to watch running up and down the paths.  In fact he almost ran into a stroller and said "watch out!".  I don't think he meant it towards the person pushing the stroller, but it was hilarious.  We got to ride the train around the park at the end of our visit.  Nathan did pretty well and Thomas rode in the double stroller for about 20 minutes total.  Ha Ha  We are hoping he will use it too.

Thomas didn't seem to want to look at all the other animals very long EXCEPT the tortoises.   He looked at us and said "BIG ONE" with such excitement.  He did not want to leave this area at all.  The other animal exhibits were more like drive bys.  :-)  Randy said that he reminded him of my dad in DC.  Dad didn't want to stay long at the sights, he wanted to just stay on the trolley the whole time.  We made him get out though and had a great time.  Little side note :-)

Our boys

I have a hard time picking just one picture to post.  :-)

Thomas absolutely LOVES to hold his brother.  He says "hold it", meaning Nathan.  He gets so excited when we say ok.  He beats us to the couch and kisses and loves on him like crazy.  When Nathan is in the bouncer Thomas tries to pick him up saying "hold it".  Pretty cute I'd say.
Randy started this game with Thomas where he asks him what different things say, like what does an elephant say or a dog say.  When you ask what mommy, daddy or Thomas says, he says "I love you" and if you ask what Nathan says, he says "Waaaahhhhh".

Cuteness

One of the few times Nathan slept in his bouncer.  Normally only likes it
if someone is bouncing it for him.
After his nap one day he held up his fist like this for about 5 minutes.
It was hilarious!
Rarely uses a pacifier and if he does, it is only for a minute and
then starts crying because it fell out.  So we would have to keep
putting it in his mouth.  Hard to get anything done around the
house that way (between needing to bounce the bouncer and
putting back in the pacifier every minute).  Ha Ha

Play Dough

I do think we may have a lefty, but can't say for sure yet
Last week we made homemade play dough for the first time.  I was pleasantly surprised that it was easy, non toxic and still moist today.
Pleeeeease face
Must have done a good job on this turtle because he was giving
it kisses and played with it until it fell apart.
