Last week we went to a Peter the Rabbit ballet/play at the library with Karen and Brodie and this week we went to a magic show. We have really been enjoying our play dates with Karen and Brodie. We usually do something at the library, go over to their house for lunch and then play. We also go to the beach, museum or park. Mommy enjoys spending time with her friend Karen (whose birthday is today, Happy Birthday!) and it is great to get the boys together. Today we got to play in Brodie's kiddie pools. Very refreshing on such a hot day and Thomas did really well with the cold water.

Is it a toy?
Nope....Just a cute, little boy named Thomas!
Found him in his toy box the other morning while playing. Once he figured out that he could get in and out, he did it over and over again. It was funny to watch. Such a smart boy!

Bluebird Gap Farm
We found a hidden treasure about 10 minutes from our house. Bluebird Gap Farm has lots of animals, hayrides, story times, a huge playground and it's FREE! We got there about lunchtime and had a picnic just outside the gate.
This would be a nice and juicy turkey for Thanksgiving. LOL

This is the perfect picture to describe the summer for me (enjoying the shade) Ha!

First Birthday Party #2
For Thomas's birthday party at home on the East Coast we decided to do it at a park in our town. Even though it was a little warm (notice the melted cake and cupcakes), it was perfect!

Making sounds
After a wonderful, still too short vacation in AZ we are home safe, sound and planning Thomas's second 1 year birthday party. Lucky boy! I will post the pictures from our vacation next week sometime, hopefully. :-)

Happy 1st Birthday!!!
What an amazing year we have had with this sweet boy! He has enriched our lives tremendously and we still can't believe how blessed we are to be his parents. He is the most precious soul and we treasure every hug, kiss, smile, temper tantrum :-), loving look, laying his head on our shoulder and in our laps, dance, growl, wave, and just being our little boy. We love you more than words bubba! Happy Birthday!
Auntie Ashley took these 'smash the cake' photos at the Yorktown beach park. Aren't they amazing?!?

Ricardo's wedding
This past weekend we took a road trip with Uncle Mike and Aunt Ashley to Randy's cousin's wedding in Mt. Solon, VA. The wedding was absolutely beautiful! The bride, Kristen, looked stunning and of course Ricardo was as handsome as ever.

We had a wonderful time with Mike and Ashley. I think they enjoyed their weekend with Thomas and we are hoping they would be willing to travel with us again. :-)

Cheese Crisps
Thomas absolutely LOVES cheese crisps (definitely my child). :-) On the day this picture was taken, he had already had 2 slices with his lunch, but when Randy was eating a piece he tried to take a bite of it at the same time. It was hilarious!

Mother's Day
Words can not express how lucky and blessed I feel not only to be a mother, but to have this little boy as my son. He is a true blessing and my heart is absolutely full with this unconditional love that only a mother could understand. I am also so grateful to have such wonderful women in my life to love and mentor me. Honestly without their love I don't think that I would be half the mother I am today. As for my hubby, thank you for always seeing the good in me and giving me the most amazing gift in the world, becoming a mother.
Happy Mother's Day

Storytime
Thomas and I have been going to the baby storytime at the library. They sing, dance, play instruments and read with the babies. Thomas's first time was so fun, he was in absolute awe of all the babies and the lady in the front of the class being silly. After storytime we go to the children's area and play with the toys and other babies. He loves it! It is a 30 minute drive for us (the libraries close to us don't allow you to 'drop in'), but 100% worth it to see his little face light up. We will be registering next week for the storytime close to us that starts in June. :-)

Tea, Sandwiches and Fun!
Last weekend Karen has us ladies and boys over for tea, sandwiches and playtime. She had quite the spread of yummy food and Thomas had plenty of toys to play with. I would say the power wheels (above) was one of his favorites.

Vroom Vroom
We went to Karen and Brodie's house for a tea party & picnic this afternoon and look what Thomas got to ride. Look closely, he didn't sit down on it, he was standing and probably could have drove by himself, but we thought for the first time a spotter would be a good idea. On our way home Thomas told me that he would love a power wheels toy for his birthday. :-)
Pictures will be coming soon

Happy Birthday Precious!!
She is 6 years old today (42 doggie years)
She celebrated her special day by waking us up at 4:15am, staying home all by herself for 4 hours, a visit from Bela and topped it off with a frosty paw.

More dairy please
This boy LOVES yogurt, cottage cheese, yogurt melts (thanks Aunt Judy for introducing) and shredded cheese. Of course he also loves his carbs (toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, puffs, mum mums, waffle wheels, lil' crunchies, arrowroot cookies and now cheerios. Randy isn't too excited about the 2 huge boxes I got him from Sam's Club. He likes his sugary cereals. Sorry babe! :-)
