For about 2 days he liked teething biscuits, but for some reason he won't really eat them again. This is pretty much the same for anything I think (hope) he likes, he will eat it one day, but not the next. I think it is his way of making sure I don't give up on feeding him solids. ha ha

Working on crawling
Thomas has been trying very hard to crawl. He can get up on all fours, but tends to scoot backwards. The past couple days he has been rocking back and fourth while on all fours. In fact, the other afternoon I checked on him after I put him down for his nap and I saw him rocking on all fours. He is getting close! :-)

Enjoying the warmth

It's snowing!

While snowing
Friday night it snowed a few inches in the late afternoon/evening hours. Luckily Randy was off so he didn't have to worry about driving in it during rush hour. I always love when it snows here in VA, but hope that it is our last. Ha ha, must be the AZ girl in me. The next afternoon daddy really wanted to take Thomas out in it, so we bundled him up in 3 thick layers and took him out for a little fun in the snow.

It's funny, when we put him in this warm bear suit he does not move. He is able to move, but he just stiffens up when it is on. It is hilarious.

On the move
Thomas is now rolling ALL over our home. One day he rolled from the middle of the living room to the end of the hallway (about 10 yards). We used to be able to lay him down on the floor and run to the bathroom or go into the kitchen to grab something. Not anymore. :-) We haven't baby proofed yet so we don't leave him alone for a second because before we know it he is grabbing the electronics on the tv stand. I have to be honest, I am not sure I am ready for him to crawl. He is going to keep us pretty busy. Ha Ha
Sweetness
Isn't he precious? I can't help but check on him throughout the night and thank God for this special blessing of a son. This is a love that is beyond words.

Wasn't me!
Thomas loves Precious! He is constantly trying to touch her. She even helped him roll over from tummy to back the first few times because he was reaching for her and accidentally rolled over. He just lights up and smiles when she gets close to him. So sweet to see them together.
Clean up crew
Since Thomas isn't eating much of his solid food the past 4 weeks, we end up wasting a lot of it. So instead of completely wasting it and throwing it away, Precious gets to enjoy. In these pictures she is eating pureed apples.
Brrrr......
It's freezing here in VA (literally). We have been in the low 20s and 30s, but with the windchill it feels like the teens. We have also had snow, but mainly light snow flurries. It does look beautiful, but SO cold. Makes me wish I was in AZ enjoying the 80 degree weather.
As you can see, Thomas is thrilled with the colder temperatures too. Ha Ha We want to get out and play!

Fun, fun, fun!
Auntie Ashley, Uncle Mike and Bela came over on Sunday. We had appetizers, sandwiches and I made raspberry tarts for the first time. Ashley had blogged here about them being her favorite so I tried to surprise her by making them. That was until the morning when I was trying to make the dough and the recipe that her mom gave me didn't have flour in it. Woops! So...I had to call Ashley to get the amount of flour to add. It ended up working out though, Ashley and I got to bake together. :-)
As you can see, Thomas loves playing with his aunt and uncle.

Early Valentine's
My friend Rachael had a party Saturday for mothers and their children to celebrate an early Valentine's Day. She had lunch, desserts, drinks, good friends & family, paper crafts and my favorite.....sugar cookie decorating! Of course I had to volunteer to make Aunt Judy's sugar cookies (especially since I didn't get any during xmas...boo hoo). I made about 5 dozen assorted sizes of hearts and they turned out great (toot toot). The kids really enjoyed decorating every single one. The adults didn't even need to help or should I say get to help.
Wish he wanted green beans, peas and carrots like he wanted this cookie!

that mean so much! Last night Randy said "I'll do the dishes, you go and relax". It may have been something small, but it meant the world to me. I am so blessed to have him as my husband and now a father to Thomas. We love you babe!

Thank you sweet potatoes!
I did his hairdo with the sweet potatoes that he put in his hair. Ha!
We have been feeding Thomas solids now for about 3 weeks, but he has honestly eaten about 5% of it. We have tried brown rice, oatmeal, avocado, peas, green beans and bananas. Thomas has either spit it out, played with it, blew bubbles on the spoon, eaten the bib instead, made funny faces or just kept his mouth closed. Well that was until today! The sweet potatoes are the ticket! Thank you Thomas for finally eating something that mommy has prepared you. :-) He was opening his mouth, swallowing it and looking for more. He ate almost a 1/4 of a cup today which may not seem like a lot, but when you were lucky to get a teaspoon in his tummy, that is a lot. We are so happy and relieved that Thomas can eat, I was getting a little nervous. We just need to figure out what our little baby boy likes.
Thomas isn't really drinking out of his sippy cup, he just plays with it as you can see. He does know how to suck on it, but when he does he just spits it out. Silly boy!
Why won't this come off?
The other morning Thomas was trying to get his blue flog off his jumper. The only problem is that it is connected and used to be high like the red parrot (top right). He kept pulling on it and luckily it didn't break off. The leaf does hang a little lower now, but that's ok Thomas obviously likes the frog.

Bundled up
All bundled up with tag blanket and all. I thought this was cute because his hands are bundled up, but he is still chewing on his tag blanket.
Thomas is doing great! He is rolling all over the place, bouncing in his jumper, speaking baby talk, squealing, laughing because he is ticklish everywhere and trying to get the whole solid food thing down. We have tried brown rice, avocado, peas, banana and oatmeal. I would say that he probably likes the bananas and avocado the best, but honestly he doesn't really eat much of it yet. I would say 90% of what we feed him gets spit out. I hear this is very normal and that we need to just keep trying so that is what we are doing. I even put cinnamon in his ground rolled oats (oatmeal) this morning. He seemed to like that, but how could he not?

Roly Poly
Every since New Year's Weekend, Thomas has been rolling all over the place! He rolls right to left, left to right, back to tummy, tummy to back and just all over. He is also picking up real quick on his hands and knees and scooting backwards. Before we know it he will be following us all over the place!
